About Wimpy

American fast food with an omnichannel, tech-driven approach

In Bloomington, Indiana, back in 1934, Edward Gold created Wimpy Grills. A hamburger joint inspired by the Popeye cartoon character, Wimpy quickly expanded outside the US making a name for itself in the UK, South Africa, and the Middle East. Since the 70s Wimpy has been serving up its classic Egg Burger to customers in Kuwait, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, introducing the region to good old American fast food. After a decades-long hiatus from Egypt and Saudi, Wimpy is back with a fresh new take on burgers.

That was a fun history lesson, but what is in store for Wimpy now? We view fast food as a way of life, and we are here to switch things up with a new look, new menu, super techy solutions, and a quirky point of view. We would like to say we are a mom-and-pop shop disguised as a big chain, making sure our customers get that homely feel in a modern way no matter where, or when, they decide to enjoy a Wimpy meal.

Try Wimpy app now for multiple order modes such as Carhop, Takeaway, and Home delivery and instantly fall in love with your favorite Wimpy meals such as Egg Burger, Smashed Burger, Chicken Fillet Puri Wrap, Wimpy Burger, Crinkle Fries, Wimpy Grills, etc. Or we welcome you to visit any of our store near you.
